Grades in the practical test: what do 1 to 6 mean?

After the practical test your instructor gives you a grade from 1 to 6 – like at a German school, where 1 is best.
What does the grade depend on?
The fewer fault points, the better the grade. If you drive without mistakes, you can get a 1.
