Cyclists are unprotected. As a driver you therefore bear special responsibility.

Overtaking
When overtaking cyclists, keep a side distance of at least 1.5 metres in towns and 2 metres outside towns. If that’s not possible, don’t overtake.
Turning
When turning right, cyclists continuing straight on have priority. Don’t forget the shoulder check.
Cycle paths
Cycle paths are for bicycles – cars may not drive or park on them. You’ll find the signs for them in the lexicon.
